Frequently Asked Questions
Call us today - (561) 276-4169The questions we are asked most on the phone, answered here so you do not have to ask them.
How soon can somebody come out?
Calls placed before noon are normally seen the same day across Palm Beach County. Refrigeration goes ahead of everything else because food is at stake. You are given an arrival window rather than a whole day.
What does a visit cost?
Most repairs land between $150 and $400 including parts and labor. Starting figures for every common problem are published on our pricing page, and your exact price is confirmed in writing after the diagnostic and before any work begins.
Do you charge for the diagnostic?
There is a service call fee that covers the trip and the diagnosis. Go ahead with the repair and it rolls into the labor, so the visit costs you nothing extra.
Which brands do you work on?
Every major brand sold in South Florida, and a good number that are not. Sub-Zero, Wolf, Viking, Thermador, Miele, Bosch and Liebherr at the built-in end, LG, Samsung, Whirlpool, Maytag, GE and Frigidaire at the mainstream end, and the specialists in between.
Do you sell appliances as well?
Yes, and we have done since 1946. When a repair is not the better spend we will say so and quote you a replacement, and we deliver, install and take the old one away.
Is my appliance worth repairing?
The rule we apply to our own appliances: where a repair runs past half a comparable new appliance and the unit is beyond two thirds of its expected life, replacing it is usually the better spend. Below that line, and on almost any built-in or panel-ready unit, repair wins comfortably.
How long is the warranty?
Lifetime on the parts we supply and one year on labor. Commercial and multi-family equipment is ninety days on both. The warranty page sets out the full terms.
Do you work weekends?
Saturday from 9am to 5pm. We are closed on Sunday. Monday to Friday we run from 8am to 7pm.
What should I have ready when I call?
The brand, the model number if you can reach it, what the appliance is doing, and any code showing on the display. That is usually enough for us to put the right part on the truck before we set off.
I can smell gas. What should I do?
Leave the property and call your gas utility first. Call us once they have made it safe. That is not a repair call.
Need it fixed today?
Call before noon and we will normally be with you the same day, with a two-hour arrival window and a flat price agreed before any work starts.
